TRAILOR HIRE

  • Is your area notorious for tenant movements between complexes and estates. These are areas with a high demand for trailor hire.
  • Design a website to create awareness of your trailer business. Find a suitable operating space - preferrably strike a deal with a local petrol station. I did this website myself. No lessons. Just the help of Google and use of templates.
  • Each start up trailer will cost between R5 000 – R10 000. You can have a business with just R50 000 cash. Perhaps (like any other startup) it will be wise to start off with a business partner to share the risk and the load.
  • Ensure that you make copies of the customers drivers license. Also, take down vehicle registration details. Charge R100 for late returns.
  • You will need to license the trailer, but this is not expensive.
  • Maintenance costs and wages may be your only significant cost. Your invoice must have a disclaimer for any injury or damage incurred during usage of the trailer.
  • You can charge R400 for a weekend (overnight usage) and return by latest 2pm on the next day. (Research maket prices in your area and undercut this for the first 6 months to steal a market share). Assuming that you only manage to secure customers over a weekend, then one trailor at R5 000 will pay itself off in 1 year. Everything after that is profits.
  • This is not passive income, but can become passive once you have good staff working for you.

INVESTMENT PROPERTY remains the most fail-safe method to earning a significant passive income and ensuring an early retirement!
